FlipPay will never send bank details via email - this is a security measure to ensure you can be confident that if you ever do receive such details from an email address presenting itself as FlipPay, it's likely a phishing scam.
You can retrieve bank details for a payment via any of the below secure options.
As a customer:
Login to the customer portal, tap "Repay balance" to view options to repay (including bank transfer)
Check your statement of account
Call FlipPay via phone or website chat
Ask the business who sent you the request (they can retrieve these details via their merchant portal)
As a merchant:
Login to the merchant portal
View a specific payment request, scroll to the "Disbursements & payments" section to view bank details
View your account "Settings", scroll to "Account configuration", then tap "FlipPay bank details"
Check your statement of account
Call FlipPay via phone or website chat
We do provide our bank details in statements of account (PDF files) generated from our platform, in response to feedback/preference from users.
However, we advise that any document and email can be at risk when containing bank details, so while you may be comfortable to use the details in a FlipPay statement emailed to you, you are recommended to be aware of email/document security risks and confirm bank details via the above methods before transferring funds.
Remember you are responsible for funds transferred and ensuring they are sent to FlipPay - sending to the wrong account, or to a scam account, does not remove your obligation to ensure payment to FlipPay.
